New and returning members invited to play during the off-season!
The Fall 2019 season has ended, but that doesn’t mean we stop playing water polo! If you are interested in learning more about the Forsyth Tritons and the game of water polo, we invite you to join us at one of the clinics/pick-up games we have scheduled during the off season. Free to newcomers and just $10 for returning players, these clinics are a great way to keep in practice until Spring season starts in February!
Join us for pick-up games on November 3 from 2:30-3:30, December 8 from 2:30-3:30, January 12 from 2:30-3:30, or February 22 from 2:00-3:30. Click here to sign up for the first pick-up game on November 3. All events take place at the Cumming Aquatic Center.
About our Club
Thank you for your interest in the Forsyth Water Polo Club. Forsyth Water Polo is open to all Forsyth County high school and middle school students, and other students who do not have a school water polo team. We play a Fall competitive season, and a Spring developmental season. Our team’s focus is to develop new players and teach the principles of the game. No experience is necessary, however athletes should be strong swimmers and be comfortable in deep water.
Our club is a member of the Georgia High School Water Polo Association (GHSWPA). The GHSWPA consists of about 40 teams from the Greater Atlanta area, representing three co-ed divisions and a women’s division. During last Fall’s competitive season, Forsyth fielded three co-ed teams and a women’s team. Our ‘A’ team placed 2nd in the State Tournament. Please visit the GHSWPA website for all types of league information, including results, directions to pools, and league rules.
As with all student activities, we need parent support to make the team function smoothly. Our team is led by a Parent Board made up of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Club Administrator. All team parents volunteer in a variety of roles throughout the season, helping coordinate communications, provide game refreshments, serve as time keepers and scorekeepers during matches, and recruit sponsors to help offset our costs. We truly appreciate all the parental support that helps us grow this program each year.
Again, thank you all for your interest and we look forward to an exciting season.
